We went skiing with some of our children and a couple of friends the last week in April and went to Crystal Mountain, a resort in the Cascades north of Mount Rainier. In fact, on a clear day Mount Rainier is visible from the ridge to which the gondola runs for the highest ski runs, but when we were there the weather was misty and we never saw Rainier. Many of the pictures are my wife's. She did not ski but did some snowshoeing on the trails near the resort and took the best pictures in this post.
